77 years old, killed in a 3 vehicle crash in the town of Painesville

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a 77-year-old woman.

The accident occurred in US 20 around 3:45 pm.

The Highway Patrol said that a Jeep Compass driver was traveling west at US 20 at high speed when he crossed midfield and collided with a Pontiac G6 and Mazda 3. Both cars were heading east.

The Highway Patrol said the Pontiac driver – a 77-year-old woman from Pennsville – died of injuries sustained in the accident.

The Mazda driver – a minor – was slightly injured and taken to hospital.

The driver of the Jeep Compass – a 23-year-old man – was expelled from the car and seriously injured. He was taken to the hospital.
