A man is confirmed dead after a high-speed hunt that led to Escambia.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the Alabama Gulf Police Department Minette was involved in the hunt for a stolen vehicle.
The search for US-29 ended after the suspect lost control of the car and crashed into a tree. FHP was the only person in the car and was pronounced dead on the scene by Escambia County Fire Rescue, the FHP adds.
The Safe Escambia County Office was at the scene to help monitor traffic.
FHP checks the accident. Investigators say they are unable to identify the suspect at this time, as there is no identity at the scene.
