Canton police are investigating a series of murders over the past 24 hours, one of which involved a one-year-old twin.
According to a press release, the twins were injured around 2:30 in the 1600 block of Clarendon SW.
Ace Lucas and his twin brother Arcel Lucas, both 1, were shot while sleeping on a sofa inside the house.
Both were transferred to local hospitals. Ace is dead, and Arcel, who has had non-life-threatening injuries, is expected to be fine.
Police say that the twins’ parents were asleep at home, too. The authorities are looking at surveillance from the homes of the neighbors.
A second murder, at approximately 8:25 pm, in Block 1400 of the Louisiana Northwest Court. Ronald Pleasant, 31, and Khalil Hall, 21, were all shot.
Pleasant died at the scene, and Hall was taken to hospital by private car. Hall’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The third murder took place in Block 100 of Pulley Place S.E. The time is 10:43.
Brandon Bush, 20, and Marcel Adkins, 20, were killed. They were taken to local hospitals, and Bush died.
Canton Police Detective Office with the help of Ohio BCI and I along with the FBI Safe Street Task Force investigate all three incidents.
