Police said a suspect was being held after three men were killed and a fourth wounded in an exchange of fire last night at a restaurant on the western side of Detroit.
Detroit Police Sergeant. Nicole Kirkwood said the suspect was being held in the shooting at the Eagles Island Coney Island, but did not provide any further details about this person or the four victims of the shooting, the Detroit Free Press reported.
Kirkwood also did not provide motive for the killings, saying only that it was still under investigation.
The authorities ask anyone with information at 11 pm. Shooting to call the police at 313-596-2260 or crime stoppers on 1-800-SPEAK UP.
This shooting was among a series of violent crimes in Detroit over the weekend, including Saturday’s shooting during a car hijacking that killed a 26-year-old man and wounded three other people.
Detroit Police Chief James Craig said last month that there was an increase in violent crime in the city, most likely as a result of the epidemic and order staying in the home that tightened people outside and recent protests.
