Police said six people were wounded in the shooting near the Metro bus station in Kent, Washington.
The Seattle Times reported that five of the victims – all of them male between 16 and 49 years old – were taken to the Harborview Medical Center, two in critical condition and three in serious condition.
Kent police said in a statement that the sixth person was lightly wounded and released at the scene.
Kent police arrested three people, but added that “it is not known if the suspects or their level of involvement.” The statement said the officials did not believe the shooting was random.
