A man, 29, was shot dead in the upper western side of Manhattan

Police said a 29-year-old man was shot dead in Upper West Side in Manhattan early Thursday.

The police found a response to a 911 Nayquan Garden call with a bullet to the chest on W 105 Street and Columbus Ave around 3:15 am.

The paramedics moved him to Mount Sinai Morningside, but he could not be saved.

The police later learned that Garden, who was living nearby, was shot in a faraway location on the grounds of Frederick Douglass’s homes. On W 104 St and Columbus Ave.

There were no immediate arrests. The police were looking for shell casings as evidence.
