American police confirmed that two people were killed and eight others wounded in a shooting incident in a nightclub in Greenville County, South Carolina.
The district police chief’s office announced that two deputy police chiefs noticed a “state of proximity” and a large crowd of citizens fleeing the Lavish Lounge after gunfire was fired inside the building.
Earlier in the day, the police reported that 12 people were injured in the accident, four of whom were in critical condition, but this toll was later reviewed.
Local police chief Hobart Lewis told a news conference that no one had been arrested in connection with the incident so far.
Last night, a party for rapper Fujiano was scheduled to be held in the cabaret, and it was not clear if there was any connection between them and the accident.
