An event died after a twin shooting incident in North Charlotte, according to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police.
The fatal shooting took place outside the halls of Tuesday, June 30 in a mall located in Block 3100 of the Bates Ford Road. Several CMPD officers were at the scene.
The police identified the young victim as 14-year-old Terion Isafier Geter.
It is unclear whether a suspect was present at this time and officials said that Jeter had died after being transferred to the Atrium-Maine for treatment.
A total of two people were shot and CMPD said that the victim who died is an event. Police said that the other victim collided with a car with another person and started driving towards the hospital, but decided to stop in the middle of the road and stop and call 9-1-1 on West Trade Street.
It was the third fatal shooting incident in less than 24 hours in Charlotte. A man was killed on Monday at 5:30 pm. In a shooting on Tuckaseegee Road, a fatal shooting occurred late Monday night on Trinity Road in North Charlotte.
This is the second fatal shooting this month on the Bates Ford Road. Four people were killed during an informal event in June on June 21.
CMPD said 181 rounds of ammunition were fired by several archers during this incident. Three were shot dead, and a victim died after being run over by a fleeing car.
