California state officials said that movie and television production will resume in the state on June 12 after agreeing to new guidelines to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus.

A statement from the California Department of Health said the producers would have to obtain approval from local health officials to resume filming.

Filming around the world was halted in mid-March to help curb the pandemic of the Coronavirus.

And a workforce from Hollywood studios and trade unions had proposed last week to conduct extensive tests to detect the Corona virus and a daily review of symptoms and other guarantees to allow actors and crews to resume their activities.

The state health department said that in order to return to work, producers must adhere to labor force guidelines and also obtain approval from provincial health officials, adding that district authorities should consider local infection rates of corona virus and preparations for an increase in cases and the ability to conduct tests and other data before granting approval .
