Disney reopens Florida’s shopping and entertainment district

Pensacola, fl

he Walt Disney Company said it would partially open the Disney Springs entertainment and shopping complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

A statement said that Disney and the unions representing workers in the Walt Disney World in Florida have reached agreement on measures to protect workers from the Corona virus, removing one of the obstacles for the company to reopen its famous theme parks.

While our theme parks and hotels remain temporarily closed, reopening Disney Springs in stages is an important and welcome step, and we are going through this unparalleled period together with the greatest possible degree of responsibility, Matt Simon, Vice President of Disney Springs said in a statement.

The company stated that it applies safety measures such as the requirement to wear a face cover, check temperatures, social diverging practices, and increase cleaning and disinfection procedures.

Disney said earlier this month that closing its theme parks cost the company $ 1 billion from January to March
