Facebook said in a post that it is acquiring the popular GIF website for making and sharing GIFs known as GIF.
The cost of the deal, which was not disclosed, estimated that the Axios news site was about $ 400 million.
The two companies have not yet responded to two requests for comment.
The announcement comes as the largest social network is under scrutiny by lawmakers over anti-trust concerns.
Jeffie will be part of Facebook’s Instagram photo-sharing site. Its library of GIF files, which can be combined with other applications, will be further integrated into Instagram and other Facebook-owned applications.
In her post, Facebook said that fifty percent of visits to Civi come from Facebook applications, and half of that percentage is from Instagram.
