Target has confirmed that an employee of their store in Pensacola has tested positive for COVID-19.
A statement from the company said they are working in close partnership with local health departments.
The statement goes on to say, our top priority is the health and safety of our team members and guests, and we’re taking a number of steps to move forward.
First we’ve communicated directly with this team member, who is in quarantine and following all health department guidelines, and we’ll pay them while they’re on leave.
The company said they “worked quickly to deep clean and sanitize the store.
The statement said all store employees have been notified and provided with CDC guidance.
Target announced that team members would be provided with face masks and gloves.
The same announcement said Plexiglas partitions would be installed at checkout lines and other stations.
All Pensacola stores have the partitions in place.
The statement from Target said supplies of masks and gloves are rolling out now.
