Food Lion has made changes to its rewards program, giving customers the option to redeem MVP “Shop & Earn” rewards for feeding those in need. Donations go to the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation, with the goal of alleviating hunger in the towns and cities the grocer serves.
Food lion says tackling food insecurity issues is more important because of the high unemployment rate caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Shoppers must upload custom monthly offers related to their MVP card to www.foodlion.com by accessing the Shop & Earn tab in Savings Hub, or activating via the Food Lion Mobile app.
Then they earn rewards when they scan their MVP cards with every purchase and they can redeem rewards to be donated in $ 1 increments.
